Emma Jones
I am the junior financial adviser at Morton-Wilson Associates Ltd. I help clients to understand their own finances, and how they can best utilise their savings. Meanwhile I am busy building up experience in the more complex financial planning situations, under the supervision of James.
My Story
I am actually an engineer by training - I have a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Sheffield. But my story begins similarly to James', and to Stewart's before him - in agriculture. I chose to study environmental science and conservation at university - a subject that I believed (and still believe) will define the future of agriculture in the UK and globally. From there I continued studying, moving on to a renewable energy research project at Sheffield and gaining my PhD.

In the middle of this I had spent a few months working in a tiny but very impactful investment firm in London. A colleague at a charity I was working with described it as 'going over to the dark side', but my eyes were opened to the possibilities of investing for positive change. When James asked me to come and train with him I discovered that I could combine all of my interests - people, empowerment, and environmentalism.
